Part 7
Class 1 — Highest Fire Safety Classification
BS 476 Part 7 measures the surface spread of flame across a material. Class 1 is the best rating — meaning Star-Lite has the lowest flame spread of any FRP sheet type. When fire strikes, Star-Lite self-extinguishes, limiting fire spread and reducing smoke emission. This makes it the mandatory choice for enclosed public spaces, high-occupancy buildings, and fire-risk industrial environments.
